Journalism: Rough Draft of feature story due today. We peer edited the RD and then spent the rest of class time revising and re-typing the feature story.
Points: 10 points for having a rough draft 2 pages long, 10 points for having it proofed 3 times, and 10 points for being on task and getting something done. The feature in its final form is worth 50 points. I expect it to be Virtually Free of Errors. It is Due on Monday the 12th

Topic: Today's Events
English 11:
We discussed the bio of Poe that we watched last time, and then read "The Raven." We discussed internal rhyme, end rhyme, alliteration, repetition, personification, and setting/mood. We then read "Annabel Lee" and discussed the mental state of the speaker, and Poe's wish to elevate his love for his wife by placing the poem in a fantasy setting. We then saw a short video of "A Cask of Amontillado" just for fun. The text of the story can be checked out if you missed the video.
